The gamer’s grand holiday is approaching! T-Mobile Warsaw Games Week 2016 will take place starting October 13th through the 16th. This second instalment will be BIGGER in every way – more days, more space for the exhibitors, more exhibitors, and most importantly, more attractions for gamers of all ages! We already know that the event will offer many interesting presentations of hardware as well as the newest games and will allow participants to test out numerous titles before their release. This year, the Warsaw-based expo has gained its titular sponsor and changed its name to T-Mobile Warsaw Games Week. The cooperation will ensure the event will be organized at the highest possible level, which will help create an unforgettable atmosphere and a lot of excitement. In addition to the main four exhibitors – CENEGA, Microsoft, Sony Interactive Entertainment Poland and Ubisoft – the event will also be attended by: CD PROJEKT RED, CI Games, Megabajt, Lionbridge, CDP.pl, Activision, Jujubee, Red Bull, epay Polska, Ingaco – G-BOB, Galeria Plakatu, APN Promise, AimControllers, BadPixel, IMGN.PRO, Blondynki też Grają, Alstor and many more. There will also be areas for some of the largest gaming sites in Poland, like Gry-Online.pl and Polygamia.pl. The event’s main trade partners are retail chains Media Markt and Saturn.
The exhibitors reveal their attractions
On over 1000 m2, the company CENEGA, which represents such publishers as 2K Games, BANDAI NAMCO Games Europe S.A.S., Bethesda Softworks, Capcom, SEGA, Sold Out Software, Square-Enix and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, will give players a chance to familiarize themselves with 14 different titles. Fans of fighting games will be able to test their skills in Tekken 7. CENEGA has announced bouts for players just visiting WGW as well as a pro tournament. For those with steel nerves, CENEGA will offer the possibility to play Resident Evil VII: Biohazard on PlayStation VR before its official release. Sniper Elite 4 and Final Fantasy XV will also be playable at the event before their release. But that’s not all. Those present at the expo will have a chance to play one of the most anticipated games of the year, Mafia III, as well as check out the newest instalment of the Hitman series and the 20th anniversary edition of the Rise of the Tomb Raider. Strategy game enthusiasts will have the unique opportunity to play Warhammer 40 000: Dawn of War III before its release as well as get to know Sid Meier’s Civilization VI. Those leaning more towards sports will be able to find playable versions of NBA 2K17 and WWE 2K17. Additionally, everyone who’s impatiently awaiting Dishonored 2 will be able to see a new video from the sequel.
Once again, CENEGA has not forgotten about the youngest gamers visiting T-Mobile Warsaw Games Week. The Junior Zone will contain a large LEGO Video Games Zone, where we invite families with children of all ages. There, for the first time in Poland, attendees will be able to play LEGO: Worlds, take part in numerous contests, take photos with their favourite characters and spend time with LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Finally, there’s the cosplay competition. This time around, there are new sponsors and it will be called Good Loot & PlayStation Plus Cosplay 2016. Speaking of the Good Loot brand, it’s worth noting that every fan at the T-Mobile WGW will be able to get their own limited t-shirts and accessories from the worlds of Star Wars, Mafia III, Gears of War and Pokemon!
SONY INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT POLSKA
The PlayStation zone will cover 1200 m2. It will contain a huge area for PlayStation VR which will premiere on the first day of the expo. Nearly 50 PlayStation VR consoles with various titles will be available to attendees. Players will also be able to test out the capabilities of the recently announced PS4 Pro console, which will launch on November 10th. For fans of e-sport competitions, there will be a large PlayStation Plus zone that will not only contain a chill-out area for PlayStation Plus members but also an e-sport stage which will hold a different competition each day – the official Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 tournament will take place on Friday, the Call of Duty World League tournament will be on Saturday, and the finals of the Uncharted 4 Polish PlayStation Plus League Tournament will take place on Sunday. Players will also have a chance to play Horizon: Zero Dawn, for the first time in Poland, as well as GT Sport and many other titles already available on the PS4. Over 200 m2 of the PlayStation zone will be dedicated to Call of Duty, where Polish players will have their first chance to try the multiplayer mode in Call of Duty Infinite Warfare.
The Ubisoft zone will cover 1000 m2. Titles to be presented inside it include: Watch Dogs 2, South Park Fractured But Whole, For Honor, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Just Dance 2017 and Steep. The rest of the zone will be dedicated to Virtual Reality in which the games Eagle Flight and Star Trek Bridge Crew will be presented. One of the zone’s special attractions will be a chance to play South Park Fractured But Whole using a device called the Nosulus Rift that was especially designed for the game. That will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience. Ubisoft has announced that it will provide more than 100 consoles for the players. In addition, the French publisher’s zone will contain a stage built especially for the purposes of T-Mobile Warsaw Games Week 2016 on which special guests will appear and a dancing contest will be held with the assistance of professionals.
During T-Mobile Warsaw Games Week 2016, Microsoft will present the best games of the year exclusive to the Xbox One console, as well as key premiere titles of their publishing partners. In an area of over 1000 m2, there will be more than 200 stations at which gamers can play on various devices such as the Xbox One S console – the only game console on the market that offers content in 4K Ultra HD quality – and Windows 10 PCs with playable versions of the latest exclusive titles, as well as numerous pre-launch presentations, contests and attractions for fans.
Within the area dedicated to gamers, there will be playable versions of Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, FIFA 17 and Minecraft. The Xbox zone will offer, for the first time ever to the public, a chance to play the multiplayer mode of the yet-to-be-released game Battlefield 1. Among games to be announced, there will be an Xbox One exclusive – Dead Rising 4. There will also be an automotive area where racing fans will have a chance to play Forza Horizon 3 on Xbox One consoles outfitted with racing simulators. The Windows 10 area will offer games from the Xbox Play Anywhere catalogue that allow for multiplayer games between PCs and Xbox One consoles. Finally, the zone will also contain an area for the youngest gamers with titles like Dance Central Spotlight and Kinect Sports Rivals which use the Kinect sensor for Xbox One.
