T-Mobile Warsaw Games Week 2016 – more attractions, fun and excitement!!!

The gamer’s grand holiday is approaching! T-Mobile Warsaw Games Week 2016 will take place starting October 13th through the 16th. This second instalment will be BIGGER in every way – more days, more space for the exhibitors, more exhibitors, and most importantly, more attractions for gamers of all ages! We already know that the event will offer many interesting presentations of hardware as well as the newest games and will allow participants to test out numerous titles before their release. Tickets for the T-Mobile Warsaw Games Week are already on sale at www.ebilet.pl.
This year, the Warsaw-based expo has gained its titular sponsor and changed its name to T-Mobile Warsaw Games Week. The cooperation will ensure the event will be organized at the highest possible level, which will help create an unforgettable atmosphere and a lot of excitement. In addition to the main four exhibitors – CENEGA, Microsoft, Sony Interactive Entertainment Poland and Ubisoft – the event will also be attended by: CD PROJEKT RED, CI Games, Megabajt, Lionbridge, CDP.pl, Activision, Jujubee, Red Bull, epay Polska, Ingaco – G-BOB, Galeria Plakatu, APN Promise, AimControllers, BadPixel, IMGN.PRO, Blondynki też Grają, Alstor and many more. There will also be areas for some of the largest gaming sites in Poland, like Gry-Online.pl and Polygamia.pl. The event’s main trade partners are retail chains Media Markt and Saturn.

The exhibitors reveal their attractions

CENEGA

On over 1000 m2, the company CENEGA, which represents such publishers as 2K Games, BANDAI NAMCO Games Europe S.A.S., Bethesda Softworks, Capcom, SEGA, Sold Out Software, Square-Enix and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, will give players a chance to familiarize themselves with 14 different titles. Fans of fighting games will be able to test their skills in Tekken 7. CENEGA has announced bouts for players just visiting WGW as well as a pro tournament. For those with steel nerves, CENEGA will offer the possibility to play Resident Evil VII: Biohazard on PlayStation VR before its official release. Sniper Elite 4 and Final Fantasy XV will also be playable at the event before their release. But that’s not all. Those present at the expo will have a chance to play one of the most anticipated games of the year, Mafia III, as well as check out the newest instalment of the Hitman series and the 20th anniversary edition of the Rise of the Tomb Raider. Strategy game enthusiasts will have the unique opportunity to play Warhammer 40 000: Dawn of War III before its release as well as get to know Sid Meier’s Civilization VI. Those leaning more towards sports will be able to find playable versions of NBA 2K17 and WWE 2K17. Additionally, everyone who’s impatiently awaiting Dishonored 2 will be able to see a new video from the sequel.

Once again, CENEGA has not forgotten about the youngest gamers visiting T-Mobile Warsaw Games Week. The Junior Zone will contain a large LEGO Video Games Zone, where we invite families with children of all ages. There, for the first time in Poland, attendees will be able to play LEGO: Worlds, take part in numerous contests, take photos with their favourite characters and spend time with LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Finally, there’s the cosplay competition. This time around, there are new sponsors and it will be called Good Loot & PlayStation Plus Cosplay 2016. Speaking of the Good Loot brand, it’s worth noting that every fan at the T-Mobile WGW will be able to get their own limited t-shirts and accessories from the worlds of Star Wars, Mafia III, Gears of War and Pokemon!

SONY INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT POLSKA

The PlayStation zone will cover 1200 m2. It will contain a huge area for PlayStation VR which will premiere on the first day of the expo. Nearly 50 PlayStation VR consoles with various titles will be available to attendees. Players will also be able to test out the capabilities of the recently announced PS4 Pro console, which will launch on November 10th. For fans of e-sport competitions, there will be a large PlayStation Plus zone that will not only contain a chill-out area for PlayStation Plus members but also an e-sport stage which will hold a different competition each day – the official Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 tournament will take place on Friday, the Call of Duty World League tournament will be on Saturday, and the finals of the Uncharted 4 Polish PlayStation Plus League Tournament will take place on Sunday. Players will also have a chance to play Horizon: Zero Dawn, for the first time in Poland, as well as GT Sport and many other titles already available on the PS4. Over 200 m2 of the PlayStation zone will be dedicated to Call of Duty, where Polish players will have their first chance to try the multiplayer mode in Call of Duty Infinite Warfare.

UBISOFT

The Ubisoft zone will cover 1000 m2. Titles to be presented inside it include: Watch Dogs 2, South Park Fractured But Whole, For Honor, Ghost Recon Wildlands, Just Dance 2017 and Steep. The rest of the zone will be dedicated to Virtual Reality in which the games Eagle Flight and Star Trek Bridge Crew will be presented. One of the zone’s special attractions will be a chance to play South Park Fractured But Whole using a device called the Nosulus Rift that was especially designed for the game. That will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience. Ubisoft has announced that it will provide more than 100 consoles for the players. In addition, the French publisher’s zone will contain a stage built especially for the purposes of T-Mobile Warsaw Games Week 2016 on which special guests will appear and a dancing contest will be held with the assistance of professionals.

MICROSOFT

During T-Mobile Warsaw Games Week 2016, Microsoft will present the best games of the year exclusive to the Xbox One console, as well as key premiere titles of their publishing partners. In an area of over 1000 m2, there will be more than 200 stations at which gamers can play on various devices such as the Xbox One S console – the only game console on the market that offers content in 4K Ultra HD quality – and Windows 10 PCs with playable versions of the latest exclusive titles, as well as numerous pre-launch presentations, contests and attractions for fans.
Within the area dedicated to gamers, there will be playable versions of Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, FIFA 17 and Minecraft. The Xbox zone will offer, for the first time ever to the public, a chance to play the multiplayer mode of the yet-to-be-released game Battlefield 1. Among games to be announced, there will be an Xbox One exclusive – Dead Rising 4. There will also be an automotive area where racing fans will have a chance to play Forza Horizon 3 on Xbox One consoles outfitted with racing simulators. The Windows 10 area will offer games from the Xbox Play Anywhere catalogue that allow for multiplayer games between PCs and Xbox One consoles. Finally, the zone will also contain an area for the youngest gamers with titles like Dance Central Spotlight and Kinect Sports Rivals which use the Kinect sensor for Xbox One.

Warsaw Games Week 2016 confirmed!

This great gaming feast will take place in 13-16 of October 2016 r. The first and successful edition of Warsaw Games Week has ended with 19,000 visitors attending the event. During this year’s edition we expect even bigger number of visitors and promise many more attractions. Therefore as a result of an enormous interest in the event and great feedback from the gaming community, Warsaw Games Week will be extended to four days – from 13th to 16th of October 2016. The event will continue to be held at EXPO XXI Warszawa. The four main partners of the former edition – CENEGA, Microsoft, Sony Computer Entertainment Polska and Ubisoft – have already confirmed their presence.

Warsaw Games Week is a time for gamers to celebrate. During the first edition of the event over 500 game stations with freshly released and pre-released games were available to visitors to use them, as well as hi-tech hardware, numerous competitions – including cosplay and even an Afromental gig. Beside four main partners Microsoft, Sony Computer Entertainment Group, Ubisoft and CENEGA (representing such distributors as 2K Games, Capcom, SEGA, Square-Enix or Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment) it was also possible to visit booths of companies like Hyperbook, Media Markt, Roccat, Nintendo, Saturn or Logitech. Warsaw Games Week allowed fans to meet many of their favourite YouTubers, including JDabrowsky, Izak, Rezigiusz, ROJO and SKKF. Warsaw Games Week was an event meant not only for hardcore gamers, but also families with children, offering lots of attractions for our beloved young ones. The event also received wide coverage in media, with over 400 journalists present, and live segments were broadcast by news TV and radio stations.

The huge and positive feedback from all visitors encouraged the organisers to extend the length of the upcoming Warsaw Games Week edition up to four days. The event will begin on Thursday, 13th of October and will last till Sunday 16th of October. This is also the time of National Education Day (14th of October), which traditionally is a bank holiday in our country. This means it will be a perfect opportunity to start the weekend earlier, visit the fair, and check on the newest gaming trends. WGW once again will be held at EXPO XXI Warszawa at Prądzyńskiego 12/14 street. Apart from the additional day, the organisers have also expanded the floor area opened for visitors.

The first edition of Warsaw Games Week ends in success!

Warsaw Games Week – a grand celebration of gaming – has drawn to a close. The first edition of the video game fair was attended by 19,000 people, including professional gamers, YouTubers and cosplayers. The EXPO XXI hall was filled with new games, cutting-edge hardware, tournaments, dance shows and even concerts. Numerous themed areas allowed gamers of all ages to find something enjoyable to do. The next edition of Warsaw Games Week will take place in just a year!

Several companies were present at the EXPO XXI hall. Apart from the four main exhibitors – namely CENEGA, Microsoft, Sony Computer Entertainment Polska and Ubisoft, a number of other companies also set up their stalls, including Bad Pixel, Blondynki Też Grają, Ententa Ltd, Galeria Plakatu, Gamermag, Hyperbook, IQ Publishing, Media Mark and Roccat, Nintendo, Pixel, PlayWay, QubickGames, Saturn and Logitech. Warsaw Games Week was organised by the SPIDOR Association of Entertainment Software Producers and Distributors.

YouTubers, cosplayers and the newest games – Warsaw Games Week is almost here!

A great celebration of gaming is upon us! On 23-25 October, Warsaw’s first ever video game fair will take place at the EXPO XXI hall. Marcin “Gnimsh” Filipowicz, a professional Heartstone player, and a number of famous YouTubers, including Patryk “ROJO” Rojewski, Rezigiusz, Masterczułek and MultiGamePlayGuy are among the invited guests. Gaming fans will be able to take part in a cosplay competition, witness sneak peeks of upcoming games and test new gaming equipment.

Warsaw Games Week is organised by the Association of Entertainment Software Producers and Distributors (SPIDOR). Apart from the four main exhibitors – namely CENEGA, Microsoft, Sony Computer Entertainment Polska and Ubisoft, a number of other companies will also be present, including Bad Pixel, Blondynki Też Grają, Ententa Ltd, Galeria Plakatu, Gamermag, Hyperbook, IQ Publishing, Media Mark and Roccat, Nintendo, Pixel, PlayWay, QubickGames, Saturn and Logitech. A chillout zone, in which visitors will be able to play games and listen to good music, will also be set up at the expo. Vectra, a digital TV, broadband cable internet, mobile internet and cable telephony provider, was selected as the event’s technology partner and will provide a superfast Internet connection and WiFi in the chillout zone for all visitors during the three days of the fair.

Areas

CENEGA

CENEGA has just announced that the presentation of Total War: WARHAMMER will be given by a representative of the Creative Assembly development studio. Numerous contests in which prizes will be awarded, including unique Fallout 4 collectibles, a demonstration of Street Fighter V skills and a meeting with Patryk “ROJO” Rojewski, a famous YouTuber, will take place at the game lovers zone.  CENEGA has not forgotten about the youngest gaming fans and decided to prepare a real treat specially for them – the LEGO Video Games zone.

On Saturday 24 October, at 2:00 pm, the cosplay competition will begin on the stage in Cenega’s area during which the contestant’s costumes will be graded by Patryk “ROJO” Rojewski, a famous YouTuber, and leading Polish cosplayers: Aleksandra “Shappi” Tora and Radosław Sierpowski from the “Crafts of Two” group. Media Markt and ROCCAT

Forty square metres of the stall will be filled to the brim with cutting-edge professional gaming equipment made by ROCCAT. You will be more than welcome to take a look at the presented products, familiarise yourselves with their technical specifications and, most importantly, test them while playing League of Legends using one of the ten gaming stations that will be set up for the occasion.

The Media Markt and ROCCAT area will be visited by eSport stars – members of the Polish Team ROCCAT: Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski and Oskar “Vander” Bogdan. The leading League of Legends players will take part in tournaments playing against those visiting gamers who will be brave enough to take up the challenge. Feel free to drop in and take a photo with your favourite players, have a chat or just say hi. Live commentary from Maciej “Morgen” Żuchowski, a well-known and valued gaming commentator, will spice up the tournament.

 

A variety of prizes have been prepared for the winners of the numerous contests that are planned. Expo visitors will be able to take advantage of special Media Markt discounts – for detailed information please consult the fliers that will be available at the expo.

PlayStation

The PlayStation area, with an area of over 1000 square metres, will feature presentations and in, some cases, give visitors a chance to play a number of upcoming games, including sneak previews of eight games some of which will be playable, while others will be limited to pre-recorded footage displayed in special screening rooms. The following games will be featured: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Star Wars Battlefront, Call of Duty Black Ops III, Ratchet & Clank, Shadow of the Beast and two PlayStation®VR-compatible games: London Heist Interrogation and Kitchen.

Additionally, visitors of the PlayStation area will get an opportunity to meet several YouTubers, namely Rezigiusz, Masterczułek, MultiGamePlayGuy and Izak, and witness Afromental’s Guitar Hero Live Show! What is more, mini-tournaments in various age categories will be held in the PlayStation Football Club area.

The PlayStation area will also include the PlayStation Polska EXTRA studio where meetings and interviews with Kinga, the programme’s host, will take place.

Saturn and Logitech

A variety of attractions await visitors of the Saturn and Logitech area. A contest for the best photo, which will be taken on the spot, will be held there under the motto of “Let your game do the talking” that was made popular by Cloud9 photo shoots. Each photo will be printed right after it is taken and uploaded to www.fotologitech.pl where fans will pick the winners. Winners will receive Logitech gaming devices.

Additionally, Marcin “Gnimsh” Filipowicz, a professional Heartstone player, will be joining us in the area, giving visitors a chance to challenge him to a match. The attractions do not end there, however. Expo visitors will be able to take part in a mini Heartstone academy course conducted by Filipowicz. Gaming fans will also be given an opportunity to take part in 3vs3 CS:GO deathmatch tournaments, as well as Speed Test and Project Cars competitions.

Ubisoft

Ubisoft will give visitors a hands-on taste of its most anticipated games: Anno 2205, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Just Dance 2016, Might & Magic Heroes VII, Tom Clancy’s: Rainbow Six Siege and Tom Clancy’s: The Division.

On Sunday, 24 October at 3:00 pm, a meet and greet with Marcin “Różal” Rózalski, an avid gamer and KSW fighter, will be held on the stage in the Ubisoft area. What is more, previously unpublished gameplay footage of Tom Clancy’s The Division will be screened at the Warsaw Games Week cinema. That is not all, however. Gamers who feel the groove and like to rock it out to Just Dance will be given an opportunity to win a Huawei Honor 7 phone on each day of the expo.

 

NTT System S.A., SteelSeries and LG will be Ubisoft’s technology partners at the expo.

Xbox

Microsoft will present the best Xbox games at Warsaw Games Week, including playable previews of Rise of the Tomb Raider, Halo 5: Guardians and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.

Throughout the day, numerous contests and attractions will take place on the Xbox One Stage, including a meeting with the hosts of Xbox XY, Marcelina Zawadzka and Piotrek Szychowski, and presentations of Rise of the Tomb Raider, Halo 5: Guardians, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Quantum Break, Battleborn, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Just Cause 3, Lego Avengers, The Division, Rainbow Six Siege and Just Dance 2016.

The motorsport zone will give racing fans an opportunity to try out special Forza Motorsport 6 simulator rigs. Other zones will also be set up, featuring games such as FIFA 16, Minecraft and Guitar Hero Live, as well as Kinect motion games – Just Dance 2016, Dance Central, Kinect Sports and Shape Up.

The Windows 10 zone will allow visitors to try out the newest laptops, tablets and 2in1 devices.

Ticket box offices will be open with tickets on sale from 11:00 am on Friday and from 7:30 am on Saturday and Sunday!

We already know the majority of titles available at the Warsaw Games Week 2015!

The gaming festival is coming soon! From 23 to 25 October the first video games fair in Warsaw will take place in the enormous EXPO XXI Warsaw Exhibition Hall. The partners of the event have just disclosed the details of the programme.

Warsaw Games Week is an event organised by the SPIDOR Association of Entertainment Software Producers and Distributors. Apart from four main exhibitors – CENEGA, Microsoft, Sony Computer Entertainment Polska and Ubisoft – Warsaw Games Week will also host CDP.pl, Nintendo, Media Markt and Saturn.

 

Games

CENEGA

As many as ten game titles will have their pre-release presentation during Warsaw Games Week at the CENEGA sector. The visitors will be able to play the following games: Battleborn, NBA 2K16, Street Fighter V, Total War: Warhammer, Just Cause 3, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, Batman: Arkham Knight and Mad Max. Additionally, the titles such as Mafia III, Battleborn, XCOM 2, Just Cause 3, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Hitman will be presented at special cinema screenings.

Technological partners of the CENEGA stand are NTT System S.A, Iiyama, SteelSeries and Intel.

PlayStation

In PlayStation zone spanning over 1000 m2 players will have a possibility to test a dozen of games which will be available for demonstration and playing. Eight of these games will be presented before their actual release in a playable version or in specially prepared cinema rooms. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Star Wars Battlefront, Call of Duty Black Ops III, Ratchet & Clank, Shadow of the Beast and two other titles supported by PlayStation®VR will wait for the gaming fans.

Additionally, the visitors of Warsaw Games Week will be able to play: Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Until Dawn, The Order 1886, The Last Of Us Remastered, God Of War III Remastered, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, The Witcher: Wild Hunt, Batman: Arkham Knight, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Tearaway: Unfolded, Helldivers, Bloodborne, Driveclub, Journey Collection, Everybody’s Gone To the Rapture, Disney Infinity 3.0 Play Without Limits, Destiny: The Taken King, Guitar Hero Live, PES 2016.

For the first time in Poland the fans of new technologies will have the occasion to test the virtual reality system PlayStation®VR presented at the PlayStation stand.

Ubisoft

The hottest titles of this autumn will be available at the Ubisoft sector:  Anno 2205, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Just Dance 2016, Might & Magic Heroes VII, Tom Clancy’s: Rainbow Six Siege and Tom Clancy’s: The Division.

Xbox

At Warsaw Games Week Microsoft will present the best games in the history of the Xbox console.  In the special 1000 sq. m. sector Xbox One consoles equipped with playable versions of the newest exclusives will be available for the visitors who can also expect contests, as well as other special attractions including pre-release shows presented on stage.

In the special player-dedicated zone, stands with playable pre-release versions of Rise of the Tomb Raider, Halo 5: Guardians and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will also be open to the visitors. Visitors can also watch a demonstration of Quantum Break.

The player zone will also include: a special motoring sector for the racing fans where they will be able to play Forza Motorsport 6 on simulator-equipped Xbox One consoles, FIFA 16 football stands, Minecraft and Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain, Mad Max, Rare Replay and Fable Legends stands with a possibility to play between a computer and an Xbox One console. This will be topped up by the family sector with Just Dance 2016, Dance Central Spotlight, Kinect Sports Rivals and Shape Up games using the Kinect sensor for Xbox One.

The Microsoft sector offers its visitors an additional stand with Windows 10 devices including the newest laptops, tablets and 2in1s.

“Rise of the Tomb Raider” pre-release show

Microsoft has a pleasure to invite the fans of video games and electronic entertainment to a pre‑release presentation of the “Rise of the Tomb Raider” game during the Warsaw Games Week. The pre-premiere playable version of the new adventures of Lara Croft will be available to visitors in a dedicated space. The game, available exclusively for Xbox One and  Xbox 360 consoles, will be released on the 13 November 2015 in its full Polish language version dubbed by Karolina Gorczyca.
